Group Profile
Don Thaker was incorporated in 1992 specializing in the area of facility management, which was then registered with The Building & Construction Authority (BCA) with MW02/Grade L5 – Housekeeping, Cleansing & Desilting Conservancy Services.
In 2002, Don Thaker achieved another milestone with the ISO 9001:2000 certification. We are currently pursuing ISO 1400 to be more relevant to the industry.
Over the years we have progressively embraced an integrated strategy to also include:
- deployment of labour in the construction industry
- undertaking specialized camp cleaning services
- construction site cleaning
- clean room maintenance operations
- aircraft interior cleaning
With a workforce of 600 and 200 contract based clients we anticipate that this may not be adequate to cater for the growing demand of this highly specialized service, which explains why we place an important emphasis not just on the number but also the quality of our staff with constant training and upgrading exercises.

Training
Although Don Thaker adopts the latest automation technology wherever possible, some basic human skills still require to be taught. The company maintains a strict policy requiring key staff to undergo the necessary training on Safety Management System. All staff are also required to undergo cleaning courses like National Skills Certificates (NSC) conducted by Centre of Cleaning Technology Pte Ltd. Typically staff training will be timed just one week prior to attachment of new project. This is to ensure optimum competency level in equipment and chemical handling and general housekeeping responsibilities.Constant upgrading of these basic skills is the backbone of Don Thaker to keep in line with exacting demands in the market place.
